Shooting Business headshots in Pittsburgh

As a Pittsburgh commercial photographer, I get asked to photograph all kinds of things, and one of the most common requests is for business headshots. While it’s sometimes difficult to fit these into my schedule, I enjoy shooting them, especially the location headshots.   Here’s an example of a headshot I did this Saturday for a guy that needed to send in a shot for a conference in which he was going to be speaking.  We shot him on my typical studio background and then we went for a ride to where he works.  I think this headshot turned out great.  It has a bit more relevance to what he needed to communicate.  The photographic lighting is often a compromise on location, but I think it’s worth the tradeoff.   When in doubt, it’s a good idea to shoot both and decide later.
