Pittsburgh PA Food Photographer – Crab cakes
Photographing food is thought by many as being the toughest thing there is to shoot. I’d say babies are tougher, but that’s just me… :o) Food Photography is something I love, it’s something I enjoy, and it’s something I’m pretty damn good at. This is a shot I did recently for Atria’s Restaurant here in Pittsburgh. Actually, we shot at my studio here in the Strip District and the corporate chef did a great job of food styling.
There are quite a few secrets to being a good food photographer, but one of them is making sure the food is prepared properly. Usually, it’s the food stylist’s job, but the bottom line is that the buck stops here, with the food photographer. This shot of crab cakes is an example of the chef / stylist giving the food photographer a great plate of food to photograph.
